This is a free 90-minute seminar for parents and new teen drivers. State Farm, South Metro Safety Foundation, South Metro Fire Rescue, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department, and local law enforcement bring you License to Survive: A free seminar for parents and their new teen drivers.
First Step Toward Safety
The License to Survive Seminar is a critical first step toward helping our teens become safe, responsible drivers. Parents will gain a better understanding of current state laws, receive an overview of advanced defensive driving techniques, learn how to become effectively involved in the “learn to drive process,” discover where and how to teach driving skills to their teen.
Teens will get a clearer perspective of potential driving risks, awareness of crash avoidance skills and an understanding of graduated licensing laws. Research has indicated that this type of program can be instrumental in the reduction of teen crashes.
Classes are scheduled at Douglas County High Schools during the school year and are open to all citizens.
Our March License to Survive Seminars have been cancelled
due to COVID. We are still excepting registrations for: 4/21/2020 - Castle View HS
